Gardiner Foundation

The Gardiner Foundation for the Arts supports the creation of artworks through technical expertise. "Ray Gardiner and Matthew Gardiner are a monstrously intelligent, innovative, exciting team of creators..." - Australian Stage Ray Gardiner, Matthew's father, is the key collaborator in all of Matthew's robotic artworks. Ray works in the industrial sector with electronics, with over 35 years experience in hardware and software design and programming. For each artwork, Ray creates custom hardware and software tailored to the particular needs of Matthew's concepts. The technical solutions are often enclosed within the artworks and not revealed to the public except through interaction.
